Montco Local is operated by Carmella Thompson. This page describes what information this site collects, how consent works, and how to reach us with questions. It is written in plain language and updated as the site changes.
What this site collects.
Form submissions
When you submit a form on this site, whether the contact form, the newsletter signup, a business listing request, an event submission, a Business Spotlight application, or a quiz answer, the information you enter (your name, email address, phone number if provided, your message, and any other answers you give) is sent to the Halo Leads system at huzihalo.com. It is used so Carmella and the Montco Local team can respond to you. Each submission also records the page you were on and the referring page, along with any UTM parameters in the link you clicked, so we know which page and campaign an inquiry came from.
Google Analytics 4
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LES4JJ3TM2) for usage analytics: pages visited, approximate location, device type, and how visitors move through the site. Analytics runs only after you accept analytics consent.
Meta Pixel
With your Ads / Marketing consent, the Meta Pixel (ID 498351904402807) loads so we can measure the effectiveness of advertising and build audiences. It loads only after you accept that category of consent, and it never loads if you reject it.
Your consent choice
Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key montco_consent.
It records whether you accepted analytics, ads and marketing, or neither, so you are not asked again
on your next visit. You can change it any time using the "Privacy Settings" link in the footer.
How consent works.
On your first visit, a banner asks for your consent before analytics or advertising cookies are used. You can choose Accept all, Reject all, or open Preferences to choose categories separately. Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage stay off.
This site follows Google Consent Mode v2. Consent states for ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization, analytics storage, functionality storage, personalization storage, and security storage start as denied and are updated to granted only for the categories you accept. If you reject, those storage states stay denied.
The Meta Pixel is not initialized and no PageView is fired until you grant Ads / Marketing consent. If you change your preferences later through the "Privacy Settings" link in the footer, the site applies that change to both Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
Choosing to reject or limit tracking does not affect your ability to use the site, submit a form, or sign up for the newsletter. Consent applies only to how this site uses cookies and tracking for analytics and advertising.
